Guest guest Posted March 9, 2000 Report Share Posted March 9, 2000 Larrae, I'm assuming that you are using just a bit of cream (like 1 oz. per lb. of oils) for the superfat. If that's the case you'd add it just like you would any superfatting agent, at trace. When I add milk, even if it's a larger amount, I like to do it at trace. When you add milk at trace, instead of with the lye, you don't get the scorching smell or color. Don't forget to use a smaller discount % when you calculate for your lye. Your cream will add that fat back in.
