I am working very slowly with raising my T3-only, and I am only in my week 6, but I wanted to say that I also get heart issues - skipped heartbeats/irregularities. They never really appear immediately after I take T3. Only some time after. I guess it means T3 works for you, and maybe even for me. And for others, such as Nick and more.If you're starting to feel better, then it's just Great! Congrats so far! Keep fighting! And hang in there! :) Oh yeah, and I know everything about the "won't party til the fat lady sings" or something like that... :)Subject: 12 week

breakthrough!!To: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, January 21, 2010, 4:41 PM

Okay I'm afraid to be too optimistic - frankly I didn't expect anything to happen at my 12 week mark. But tomorrow is my 12 week mark and my heart rate this morning is 95! Usually in the morning my heart rate is the lowest, around 75.

Also, my temp is 98.4, and it's usually 97.5 or so in the morning. I'm thinking this means I need to cut down my dose today and work back up, right?

The last few days I have been having heart palps right before my T3 doses are due. When I take my dose (25 mcg) they stop within 30 minutes. I thought this might mean I needed to increase. Obviously based on today I don't. Just wonder why that happened in the days leading up to today's breakthrough?

I'm also noticing I am talking louder. Weird!

Comments are appreciated: )

Thanks . I took my temps and pulse again (several hours later) and pulse

was down to 78 and temp was 98.2. So I'm not sure now what was happening this

morning. I'm NOT reducing my dose now though because I've been losing more hair

these last few days, and because of the other symptoms I mentioned in my first

post.

Your T4 levels are at their lowest now meaning you need the most T3

and it was running low before the doses were due.

You sound like you had clearance but if you were a bit low it may

bring you normal rather than over.

How much are you on?

I think you had a breakthrough and it made you less hypo but you were

under dosed so didn't go hyper

Nick,

I'm on 100 mcg, which I take 4 times a day. I just took my pulse and temp

again, and pulse was 100 and temp was 97.9. This is 1 1/2 hours after my second

dose. I don't really know what is going on!

Should I try to take more or wait a bit??

Thanks,

I'd try a glass of sea salt water to see if that brings pulse down

If not reduce to 50 or 75 today to let things settle a bit

It may be the T3 has got through now and reduced cortisol as a result

and you need to let the levels go down a bit

It's been an hour since I drank the salt water. My pulse is 96 and my temp is

97.8 (4 pm) and I have a headache. Should I still lower my T3? I'm confused by

these symptoms!

It's 6:12 pm. Pulse is 101. I took PS at 5 thinking that might help. I only

took 12.5 mcg T3 for my third dose at 4:30. Still have a headache. I guess

I'll take another 12.5 at bedtime instead of 25 and see what happens.

This sounds like adrenals putting out adrenaline instead of cortisol

which could end up being a LOW T3 symptom. It can be very difficult to

tell at times.

Nick,

I switched from Isocort to HC cream 3 days ago to see if I was having an

allergic reaction to Isocort. I'm wondering if this is causing some weird

reactions? My temps were not stable on Isoscort but I was able to tolerate 100

mcg of T3. They actually seem more stable on the cream, but now I'm having the

fast pulse (but still temps around 98.0). My symptoms seem to indicate low

sodium but it doesn't lower my pulse. I'm so confused!

Heart pounding, although I know it's supposed to be a low t3 symptom, also

happens to me when my cortisol is low. If you have cleared rt3 and now have all

that t3, maybe suddenly it's a bit too much and giving you low cortisol? Of

course, I don't know why they go away, then when you take the t3... I often have

confusing symtpoms and all I can do is take some t3, nope that didn't work, take

some hc, and so on. ;-)

I had issues recently and I also had to back track a bit; cut the t3 and let

things settle down as Nick said and sort of see where I was.

I hope things get better soon! I think just taking the 12.5 tongith like you

said is a good idea. You can always go back up.
