Try stress dosing the HC, take an extra 5mg and see how you feel.

It sounds adrenal to me, Val said she had to go up to 40 to get the T3

to go in and clear hypo and was able to weak off HC from there to the

point of not needing any

My gut feel is drop T3 down to 12.5 (maybe taken twice a day, can't

split it smaller than that.

Graph average temperatures and increase HC until they are stable

Increase T3 again while monitoring average temperatures

Thanks for wading through my post, Nick. You rock!

I stress dosed 5mg about an hour and a half ago and my brain felt quite muddied,

though it's lifting a bit (I also dosed 30 mins later with my usual fludro and

1/2 grain NT). However, my temp is now 98.6! Hands cold, too, and not much

energy. SUPER confusing to me, as I want how I feel to match my temps - which

did for a bit, but now not! (I keep wondering if there is something else in the

mix!) Grrrr....

Good to know someone (Val) was able to wean off 40 and not shut down her

adrenals forever!

Hope my body is okay with T3 only 2x/day as opposed to 4. We'll see. (The hard

thing is I have to see clients while trying to do this. It's be infinitely

easier if I didn't have to worry about how my brain not working is impacting

others!) :-o

I weaned off more HC than that and my adrenals work, too. Not that I'd recommend

taking even more than that much HC!:-)

If you have an infection causing a rise in temperature (ie a fever)

then that can bring your temperature to " normal " while leaving you

hypo still and foggy from the hypo plus the illness.

Thanks, Nick. I've wondered about an infection for me, too. I have a

sore/scratchy throat that won't go away.

I know this list doesn't suggest SRT3, but since you suggested I try lowering my

T3 to 12.5T3 a day, divided in two doses, I wondered if it makes sense to try my

slow release T3 2x/day (it's 7.5 a cap, I think).

My temps now have dropped to 97.9. The HC was starting to work, and now it's

not, though I can tell it's part of the answer if I just tweak things correctly.

I just want to make sure I'm considering all that could be going on, including

my RT3.

I also woke up in the middle of the night freezing. Didn't check my temp, but I

have a wool comforter that keeps me very warm. I know my temp dropped. I had

taken 2.5HC and tried to break a 1/4 tab of T3 into an 1/8 as best I could, and

took that. Not sure what a temp drop is telling me. (If my brain worked

better, I could problem solve better!!)

Thank so much again. I hope you realize how much your help (and Val's) is

valued.

Difficult to advise there, a little bit of try it and see as you are

doing seems the best.
