Guest guest
Hello all. I had my endo appointment this past Friday and wanted to throw a few things out there. If you do not recall, I have been over- medicated and have become hypo. My last labs were: TSH 0.918 (Range .350 - 5.5) Free T4 .59 (Range .61 - 1.76) T3 117 Range (Range 60 - 181) My concerns are as follows: 1. In addition to my dose of 10 mg per day of Methimazole, my endo put me on Synthroid at 50 mcg. How normal is that and do the dosages seem right? 2. I expressed my concern over what to do when my husband and I decide to try to get pregnant and being on Methimazole. I asked if that was the type of drug one would want to be off of a few months before trying or can one just switch to PTU when they find out they are pregnant. Her response was that I could stay on the Methimazole until I found out I was pregnant and then switch to PTU. Does that sound right or should I call and request to just be switched now in case I accidentally get pregnant? Any input anyone can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Michell in land
