Guest guest
3 weeks ago, I had a myomectomy to remove 10 fibroids (largest was 16cm). I recovered pretty quickly, was back to work after 2 weeks, and the incision is healing very well. When I lay on my back my stomach is relatively flat now that the obvious swelling has gone down, but my question is this - when I stand up I have this big 'Roll' above my incision, like a roll of fat. I'm pretty small framed thin girl - I weigh 104 pounds - I did not have this big roll before the surgery. Some have said this is just more swelling, but most others have said this is just what happens after you have a horizontal c-section like incision, and that this roll of fat that appeared out of no where will stay for several months if not forever because of the stomach muscles having been cut. Can anyone who has had a myomectomy offer me any insight? I'm getting married in 5 weeks, and am wondering if I have any chance of fitting into the dress. I'm nerve wrecked because I'm not ready to start doing situps yet, and I feel disgusting with this beer gut thing sticking out of my otherwise small body... Help!!
