I suspect it's a case of most things are OK in moderation but don't

take anything to excess.

If you compare what all the different " experts " say they will be

contradicting themselves.

There is no " single right answer " , lots of different ways of eating. A

variety of foods without any single one to excess is probably a pretty

safe route.

Life is not easy!I am eating vegetables to excess though.. I am amazed how healthy I eat! Vegetables to every single meal! 6-8 meals a day! I feel like a rabbit! :)Ok so I would think it's ok to take these Wholemega omegas then!PS! The twitching of my eyelid is driving me nuts! Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

I have heard the same thing about soy, but I think that a little won't hurt. It's all about moderation. So if you want soy sauce on your sushi, etc once in awhile...I don't think it would hurt to have it. I just wouldn't do it in excessive amounts every day.

As most of you, I try to eat and drink what's right for me. Now, I haven't found out what's right for ME yet, as we're all different, but I try to follow the advice I am given by specialists and experienced patients.

Soy is a huge issue for Hypothyroid patients. My thyroid gland works, but I am in the process of suppressing it with T3-only meds. However, I would like to know how if soy can suppress the T3 medicaiton itself!? Can we eat soy if we don't use our thyroid gland while taking meds?

One patient (from another board) says that we should avoid ALL soy products and derivatives no matter what:

"Soy, according to my understanding, is an absolute. No soy for thyroiders, as it has other effects other than just the goitrogenic effect (see prior post). This includes soy in all it's varied forms: soy lecithin, soybean oil -- really the list is extensive and it is found in most processed foods."

Which is sad, cause, I love soy souce (on sushi and other things) and there is soy lechitin in my new Wholemega product, which is supposed to be the very best omega oil product in the whole wide world at the moment:
