Last-minute Thanksgiving help??

OK, so I know I'm rather late in posting this, but I guess I've been

in denial about the whole thing. But I went to bed last night

realizing that I am pretty bummed about Thanksgiving this year (my

first SCD Thanksgiving). The SCD part wouldn't be bad, except that

there are a lot of legal foods that I can't either right now either.

Does anyone have any tips for what I can make today?

Things I'm avoiding:

- nuts

- dairy (though I think I'll slip here and have SCD french cream on

the pumpkin pie)

- all meat (including poultry & fish)

- eggs

- carrots

- usual SCD no's

Stuffing is my very favorite part of Thanksgiving, and I'm wondering

if there's a grain-free, nut-free alternative?

So far all of I've thought of to eat is green beans, and I have

crustless pumpkin pie with no eggs or dairy (it does have almond milk,

so I'm getting a little nuts there but nothing too rough). I'm

tempted to eat salad (chewing very carefully!), but that's probably a

bad idea.

I'm in the final stage of tapering off of prednisone, and it seems

like I've been bleeding constantly for weeks. Nothing seems to make a

difference. If I could at least figure out how to make it stop (eat

nothing but bananas for a week??), then I could add foods back

gradually and figure out what causes problems.

Thanks for your ideas and support!

Happy SCD Thanksgiving, everyone!
