If you have absorbtion issues then it seems a good idea. Try it and see. Nick
Guest guest
Nick, is there a difference in how long will last? I know from reading here that when you take it by mouth the pick is in 2 hours. When I take it sublingually it gets in my cels rightaway and how long will last? Thank you Milena > > > > >I don't know what is the difference of taking T3 sublingually? > > Works out the same for me either way. If you have absorbtion issues > then it seems a good idea. Guest guest
I take my Cytomel (T3) sublingually. My pharmacist gave me generic T3 last week, though, and it crumbled in my mouth so I had to swallow it instead of sublingual. I felt awful! Here's what I understand: If you can take the drug sublingually, it is absorbed mostly in the capillaries in the mouth. It doesn't have to go through the digestive system, so you don't have to worry about absorption issues or about timing it with your food intake. The body can use it more quickly because it doesn't have to digest it. I also think it may be easier on the liver (?) because it doesn't have to be processed there. Maybe someone else can address that issue? I feel that when I take my T3 sublingually, I get more of it into my body than when I swallow it. I also took my Armour/Erfa sublingually, but of course couldn't do that with the Synthroid. It's always shocking, though, when I pop my Ritilin under my tongue without realizing it until the awful bitter taste hits my mouth! Talk about a rush.... :-) Subject: Val and anybody, taking T3 sublingually? To: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, January 22, 2010, 12:00 PM I don't know what is the difference of taking T3 sublingually? Has anybody felt difference between taking it by mouth and sublingually? I have a digestive problems and wonder if taking T3 sublingually will make a difference. Also, how long will T3 last in the body when is taking sublingually comering to when is taking by mouth? should I take it more often when T3 is taking sublingually, if does not last as long as taking it by mouth?Thank you Milena
