Do you take a folic acid supplement? (I don't know what Emset is.)

Folic acid supplementation is important, because methotrexate removes

it from the body. Many of the side effects of methotrexate can be

helped with folic acid. My rheumatologist has me on 2 mg. a day.

In addition to taking Folic Acid and/or Leucovorin you might ask about injections of Methotrexate instead of the pills. Many people have fewer side effects with the injections. God bless.

through out the week, and i take Emset for to avoid Nausea -

I take my Mtx Friday night before bed and sleep away the side effects.

Don't get much done on Saturday.

I agree on the folic acid. I take 1 pill per day but 2 the day

before my injection.

I do have injections - they make me feel much less ill than pills and

you get it over with faster. In addition to the folic I take a long

acting Gravol about 10 minutes before I have it. I have it done late

in the day so I just end up going to bed early as it does make me

tired (exhausted) and I also need to drink a LOT of water. Also easy

to digest food - no heavy fats and processed food. Something like

chicken breast and rice even though the Gravol makes me want to eat

everything I see. Fruit is also really good.

So I do feel it but after an easy evening and a night's sleep I just

feel midly crappy on the morning after for a few hours. That's with

20 mg per week
