Took Too much T3 Today - mixed up changing brands

I was on 60mcg prescribed (Goldsheild) T3 in the UK and I have just moved to the

US. I bought some Grossman Cynomel and started introducing it slowly.

I found the Cynomel stronger so I was taking 25mcg Cynomel (one pill) and 30mcg

(one and half pills) of the Goldsheild to make a total of 55mcg.

I had been used to taking one and a half pills - 30mcg - with each of my two

morning HC doses.

Today I got mixed up and took one 25mcg Cynomel and half a 20mcg Goldsheild on

waking - 35mcg.

I then took one and a half goldsheild with my second HC dose - a further 30mcg.

So I have taken 65mcg when I was finding 55mcg to be plently with the

introduction of 25mcg Cynomel.

I realised my mistake when I woke from a nap with my heart pounding had. It was

pounding a little before my nap so I took an extra 2.5mg HC. When I woke up and

remembered I had overdosed I took another 10mg HC.

I think that 10mcg has taken effect since I started writing this message as I

don't feel so bad anymore. (I have taken 32.5 HC today in total from 7.20am -

1.20pm).

I think I will take a smaller T3 dose tomorrow - 45mcg. Then go back to 55mcg.

From now on I will keep track of what I am taking by preparing my doses for the

day in advance.

Is there an any advice for changing brands?

Any advice about taking too much T3 - other than take extra HC and ride it out?

thanks

CJ

Luckily, t3 leaves very quickly so likely you will be back where you were in a

day.

As for switching, I would just go straight to the Cynomel and make an educated

guess on how much to start with based on what you think the conversion is. If

you think 50 is equal to the 60 Goldshiled for example, then just start there.

You can then adjust up or down from there. I think that would be the easiest

thing to do, in all honesty.

Start low and build up

Wait it out. If it's a severe overdose (2 or 3 times normal dose)

then a hospital can give you beta blockers to calm your heart down.

The typical " bit too much " will normally wear off after a few hours.

Thanks you two. I will take your advice and work up the Cynomel dose slowly from

tomorrow.

I will be quite happy to leave the Goldsheild stuff behind; it was not as strong

and seemed to have worse side efects.
