Guest guest
I have been on T3-only for a little more than one month, I am now taking about 90 mg (I don't recall the exact number right now but the dose is between 90 and 100). Before starting with T3 only I was relatively stable regarding symptoms: among other things I was very, very tyred, particularly in the mornings, but my back pain (and associated problems) was gone. My sight was pretty bad but somewhat stable. Now on T3 only I am less tyred, I sleep really well and have a greater sense of well being. However I have some back pain and gum sores (which I get when the back pain comes up to the neck and face) and my sight is getting reeeeally bad, to the point I thing my shortsightedness is growing by the day. I guess the " thyroid status " of my body is changing and different tissues or organs are responding differently to the reduction in T4 and rT3... have any of you experienced something similar? Guest guest
I will reply to myself! as an update... I raised today the T3 dose to 100 mg (I am in my 5th week on T3). Last week I am not feeling very well... This is new territory for me and I don't know how to interpret my symptoms but I think they are hypo: my body hurts everywhere, particularly my back, and my sight is worsening... Average daily temps are about 98-98.2, which is the usual for me before ovulation (after ovulation they increase a bit). Pulse is also O.K., I think. My temps only seem to change following the the cycle curve (which is nice since I want to get pregnant and that suggests I am ovulating). I understand I shouldn't really rise the dose much more, but instead endure the symptoms for a while until 12 weeks have past, right? > > I have been on T3-only for a little more than one month, I am now taking about 90 mg (I don't recall the exact number right now but the dose is between 90 and 100). > > Before starting with T3 only I was relatively stable regarding symptoms: among other things I was very, very tyred, particularly in the mornings, but my back pain (and associated problems) was gone. You can go higher to relieve hypo symptoms in the waiting period but have to be careful if you do. Just be aware that if you go over 125 you will have to watch for going hyper suddenly around the 12 week mark. It depends if your symptoms are tolerable.
