Hi T. !

I want to wish you the best of luck with your myo on

Friday. I hope that everything goes smooth and you

have very little pain and a quick recovery.

I'll be right behind you having a myo next Tuesday

11/19.

I am really scared also. I can't get it off my mind.

I know that I hear it's not that bad but I never had

surgery or an IV or anesthesia so I am just terrified.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

A quick and painless procedure for both of us!

Take Care,

Lori

Hi, I'm new to this group. I am 5 weeks post-myo. Thanks, Michele, for this

information on Arnica, etc. I was just talking to someone yesterday and they

recommended Arnica also! I wish I had known about Arnica before this! I

am still having some pain and am going to try the Arnica. I was given

Percocet after surgery and then I switched to Motrin after about 8 days.

Drinking cranberry juice has helped me, too. I ate yogurt to prevent yeast

infection from the antibiotic they gave me in the hospital. I am taking the

vitamins you mention.

Can anyone recommend exercises to do after myomectomy? My doctor told me I

could start taking walks after my two weeks post-op, but he said no crunches

for a long time. I asked if I could do aerobic dancing after 3 months and he

said go for it. My stomach is still very distended and I still look

pregnant. I would appreciate any advice anybody has, especially on how to

get rid of the pouchy stomach! :) Thanks.

The dr. felt that by removing them we could be risking significant scarring

since they are in the posterior of my uterus, and that there was little risk

they

would interfere with fertility (they are the size of rice grains, seedlings I

guess).

If I hadn't wanted any more children, she would have taken them.
