We have talked about this a little bit before...

I have a lot of discomfort in my BC side arm and hand-

Upon waking my middle finger on that side is very stiff and my hand feels so swollen-

in a bit the stiffness and pain disappears for the most part...

I also have soreness on my inside wrist bone and just below- during the night I have noticed

that I almost can not pick up and move the cover on or off me- it hurts that much...

I will live with it... my concrete feet I used to wake with have gotten much better-

go figure as I opened a storefront with a concrete floor- but I have been wearing the dansko

shoes and my feet are fine with all the standing so far...

I just think it is so strange that it would be only on the surgical side with the arm and hand.

My oncologist just shrugs when I asked him about it...he seems to think that if it were the arimidex that both sides would be affected...

Andree; my onc gave me the same reaction when I told him about my finger and bone pain. I have an appointment with my neurologist the first of March, so we will see what happens. I am sorry your in pain.

Hi Andree, Mine is the same left finger and more on left foot. It is not in your head. I was thinking while I was doing my sales calls that for some reason do most women have their bc on their left side. Are you all right handed, too? -Andree, My tumor was also in the upper part of my left breast

directly in the middle. You go and wear that bathing suit. Who cares

how old and in what shape you are . Have you been to a beach l;ately.

Pretty scarry stuff. Some people should just stay home. Hehehe.

-Left side - right handed.

I attribute some and I strees some of my pain on arimidex as well as

my age (51) can't feel like 20 for ever. My pain started about 4 or

5 months after starting it. But it is doing it's thing and keeping my

cancer in check. I am so very fortunate. I had 36 rounds of radiation

and the arimidex only. Chemo was suggested but surgeon thought it

was over-kill as nodes were clean. So arimidex and I have 3 1/2 years

left together. I will deal with it. Advil helps and once I start

moving in the morning I am pretty good. I look like my mother when I

get up shuffling for the first 5 minutes in the morning. Ren how are

you doing on the tamoxifen?? any better than the Arimidex?

Hello Nancee, I don't remember your posts but thank you for it. I'm in the same boat-I am 54 invasive ductal carcinoma 30 rounds of radiation only. The onc said I did not have aggressive type of cancer so no chemo. I guess I can live with the Arimidex. The percentage was only 1% more if I did chemo 92% five years. I guess the stats because I think that women that are right handed left bc maybe shaved harder under the armpit and used anti-perspirants. I don't know-I guess I am trying to find a correlation of the why or blame something. It just seems more women have the bc on the left side. Mine was close to the armpit. Funny mine is on the left side and I am right-handed...just like many of you... Betsy(NC) Note: forwarded message attached.

Mine was on my left and I am right-handed. Wow, I never realized that most women have breast cancer on the left side. Does anyone know what that is?
