Guest guest
From CustomMedicine's article on rT3:"In addition nutrients such as selenium, zinc, Vit B6, B12 and E, iron and iodine should be supplemented as they are necessary cofactors for this enzyme to function correctly and thus ensure appropriate T3 production."Why do some say iodine is bad for rT3 while others say it's good? >Can I start to take Melatonin again? Guest guest
I believe that Iodine is taken up by the thyroid when it needs to make T4, so to take iodine means your body will make T4 when you're wanting to eliminate it. Can anyone confirm?>Can I start to take Melatonin again? Should I not take kelp and niacin? Guest guest
I use melatonin periodically. I don't know of any reason you can't use it with a High RT3 issue. Not that I have read anyway. People with adrenal fatigue often do well using it to help regulate their circadian rhythm and allow them to get the rest they desperately need. I don't see a problem with kelp or niacin either. Someone will chime in if they have heard otherwise. Jan > > I have a high RT3, ratio 9.1. Guest guest
>Why do some say iodine is bad for rT3 while others say it's good? Depends if you are talking about T3 being converted from T4 or being supplemented directly When you are on T3 only you don't want to promote T4 production and don't need to " help the T3 to T3 conversion process " as there isn't one Nick
