Guest guest
Hi Val, Nick or anyone that understands this... I was on Levoxyl (feeling crummy - no surprise there) with an RT3 ratio of 7. I found a doctor and switched to T3 only. So my question is why is my TSH increasing and my FT3 going down on T3 only? Labs 9/9/09 - taking Levoxyl T4 Free 1.40 range .93-1.71 T3 Free 2.2 range 2.0-4.4 TSH 0.598 range 0.45-4.50 RT3 286 90-350 Labs 11/19/09 - taking 40 mcgs T3 T4 Free 0.9 range .8-1.8 T3 Free 309 range 230-420 TSH 2.35 range 0.4-4.50 RT3 23 11-32 Sodium 141 range 135-146 Potassium 4.1 range 3.5-5.3 Glucose 82 range 65-99 Leptin 10.2 range 4.1-25 with a BMI range of 18-25 (don't know what my range is) Cortisol Free and Total 5.7 range 4.6-20.6 collected at 9:20 am ACTH Plasma 7 range 5-27 **Labs 1/13/10** - taking 75 mcgs T3, 15mg HC, 25mg DHEA, and 100mg Pregnenolone T4 Free 0.8 range .8-1.8 T3 Free 278 range 230-420 TSH 2.67 range 0.4-4.50 RT3 pending will have on Wednesday Pregnenolone will have on Wednesday Ferritin 22 10-232 DHEA-S 105 25-220 I am also taking an adrenal repair and Vit D3 5,000 iU. I thought that TSH was to be suppressed - so why is mine going up? Also with the increase in T3 why did my Free T3 go down? I see that Ferritin is low so would it be advisable to start Iron supplementation now and ask for the IV at my appointment? I have issues with constipation (life long) and had liver issues on Levoxyl. So is it safe to take Iron orally or best to wait the couple of weeks for the IV? Thanks so much.
