Hi Sally,

> I don't see Bifidus strains in any of these probiotics (?)

I would make sure!

But I am sure that the probiotics you are using are illegal- it's a

bummer but I think Elaine really knew what she was talking about. I

think if you could really be careful with this it would be very smart

as we with gut issues are so super sensitive to bacterias and such.

If you want to be sure post links and names of all supplements and

ingredients of product.

Never knew one could have hydrocortisone compounded. Very cool. Does

it help? Does he feel a difference with it? Does it make him hyper

at all? Interesting.

Yeast issues go hand n' hand with other bad bugs and gut issues. No

surprise here. A word of caution if Mark has any upper GI issues-

Diflucan is not the way to go as it metabolizes in the liver. If

people get sick from Diflucan they often switch to Nystatin although

Diflucan is better as it gets into blood. There are also natural

anti-fungals to continue with after Meds etc.

Did he do a purge? I have learned that over from HC really knows

what she is talking about. My GI confirmed everything she said about

testing and treatment.

I don't think it would be a false negative as much.. I hope it is

gone by Flagyl but this is exactly how crazy C Diff issues are-

cyclical and it not showing up in one result doesn't mean it isn't

resistant. That is why people also do the rectal swab. If symptoms

are present and escalate- that is the perfect time to do rectal swab.

Yea.. My bowel get very loose when I come down with something..

Looks like Mark has a couple of things going on that has lowered his

immunity.. Sometimes there is no one answer... It's good to point

out possible triggers.

First off.. No one should go on Remicade if they are actively sick

with anything besides the issue being treated.

I agree with your instinct- that was my instinct as well although I

have nothing to back this up with.

I asked in the other post about the difficulty choosing between

LDN/Remicade? Are you experiencing this at all?

LDN has really been helping me. In part I think because it is

modulating my immune response it is making me stronger being able to

deal with these critters.. Sadly, it is making Lyme and Co issues

worse.. Since LDN works so well with anti-Candida diets and SCD is

naturally anti Candida.. I think it is a good choice for SCD'ers

trying to get off of difficult meds. But the Remicade dilemma- I get it.

You're on the right path.. Sorry there are no definitive answers..
