Guest guest
They have bags that keep your food warm, put your food in that, use thermos My lunch at work is my leftovers from last night dinner. I would like to reheat my food at work because it is so cold at work. If I eat cold leftovers I'm freezing after lunch. Plus I had read that eating cold food take more energy and added stress to digestive process. Work only has microwaves. I would rather not nuke my food for all the right reasons. So anyone have any good tips/ideas on reheating my food at work other than turning on my car and putting my lunch under the hood? :-) Bringing in a portable gas stove will not be allowed either. Thanks a bunch! Pat ------------------------------------

What about a single electric burner? Or a mini crockpot? I saw one yesterday at the supermarket that was for dips like keeping a cheese sauce warm at a party. That size would work for a portion for lunch. Here's a bunch: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw_0_7?url=search-alias%3Daps & field- keywords=mini+crock+pot & sprefix=mini+cr Mara
Guest guest
Hi Pat, I've also been trying to get away from using a microwave and my situation sounds similar to yours. I eat leftovers for lunch and work in a place where there are only microwaves. I found some insulated food carriers/thermoses at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I didn't know there was such a thing. When I think of a thermos, I think of liquid but these are not for liquid only. Here is the link, scroll to the second row of items (there are more scattered through the other pages as well). http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stylePage.asp?order_num=-1 & RN=204 I like the Mr. Bento and the one next to it. And I don't see why the plastic containers it comes with couldn't be switched with glass ones of similar size. Target also has one that is similar to the Mr. Bento but it is more expensive. I'm going to check Amazon and see if I can get a better price. HTH.
