Guest guest
Hello I start week 12 of t3 only treatment tomorrow. I'm taking 120mcg of t3 split into six doses and still have a lot of hypo symptoms and my temps haven't really increased (they're always around 36.1). I'm also taking 30mg HC and my ferritn was 102 when checked a few months ago. With temps that low, is there likely to be any " breakthrough " this coming week? Or is this T3 only regime not working for me? Thanks, Jane

There could be, in your case it will probably be a reduction in hypo symptoms rather than ending up hyper. 120 of T3 (assuming it's one of the better T3s) should be plenty to have suppressed T4 production and that in turn will have stopped more RT3 being made. Getting hypo symptoms on 120 of T3 implies you have resistance and the most common cause is RT3 (though there are others). Let us know how it goes Nick
