Guest guest
Looking at the chart at the bottom of this page:http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/tibc/test.htmlAnd looking at my last "total" iron results from early January while on 100 mg chelated:* I did not stop my iron supplementing before I took this test!Iron: 30.4 (9 - 34 m mol/L NORIP) HIGH?Transferrin 2.6 (2.0 - 5.0 mg/L) LOW?Transferrin Saturation 47 (15% - 57% NORIP) HIGH?Ferritin (at that time): 56 NORMAL?High serum iron, low transferrin, high saturation, "normal" Ferritin. Does that mean I am iron poisoned? According to the chart, I am... Or am I mistaken?
Guest guest
Iron: 30.4 (9 - 34 m mol/L NORIP) HIGH? NORMAL this is NOT high Transferrin 2.6 (2.0 - 5.0 mg/L) LOW? LOW Chronic illness TONSILS Transferrin Saturation 47 (15% - 57% NORIP) HIGH? Yes because you were supplementing right before it. Ferritin (at that time): 56 NORMAL? LOW thi sis not normal. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Ok, thanks for making me realize things aren't as bad as I think they are. It's just that I'm trying to find answers to my worsening health. Right now, I am so sleepy that I barely can hold my eyelids up. NOT NORMAL. I might have a feeling that I need more T3. I just hope I'm ready for it! Do you think I can increase my dose, and should I wait til tomorrow or do it tonight? I mean, will I get long enough separation between the T3 if I increase tonight? And what if my Ferritin level at 64 (after waiting 5 days with iron supplementing!) is at a false high because of some infection somewhere in my body, probably tonsils? And can you confirm that I can have a chronic infection without any blood sample positives such as CRP? CRP was negative last Thursday. Less than <8 they said. Guest guest
Thanks mate! Yup, you did. Then I got doubt when I saw my temps going higher in the last few days. Perhaps taking 5 mcg T3 only 3 hours apart is too much for my adrenals. My pulse has not gone higher than 85 or so though. My specialist recommended doubling the first dose tomorrow and do 10 mcg T3 every day as a morning dose. I hope that'll be fine!T. > I am so sleepy that I barely can hold my eyelids up. NOT NORMAL. I might have a feeling that I need more T3. I just hope I'm ready for it! If it were adrenal that would cause a drop in temperature Nick

Guest guest
Hmmmm..... So how can we explain this rise in temps? More T3 in my cells = higher temp, with the fever from tonsils leading the way? This is difficult. >Perhaps taking 5 mcg T3 only 3 hours apart is too much for my adrenals. Yep, this is what Val meant by the problems in not being able to trust temperature Nick
