Hi guys. Wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate your

feedback. I read the forum daily and find valuable info as an

observer often. I have been on SCD for a little of 4 months now and

am fanatical. I really never had a three month flair. I had a bad

flair in July and was on Prednisone for a little over two months, last

dose was in early October. I did not really experience what might

constitute a three month flair. Current situation is this though: I

am going through the grieving process of ending a 2 1/2 year

relationship. I have heard old wives tails of stress making your hair

fall out, but thought I would check with anyone to see if anyone else

has experienced this hair loss symptom. I hope it goes away soon.

Thanks in advance for your help. I do take the Freeda multivitamins,

probiotics and B complex, vit D supplement and zinc and had been well

before this hair loss issue.

start taking PHYTO vitamins. I have NEVER had a problem with them, and make sure you are not anemic (iron deficiency is the major cause of hair loss) and, yes, cut the stress. Also, get RF80 from Rene furterer, but 2 boxes of 12, use 2 a week, and...

Asacol & prednisone (asacol for me) can make ur hair fall out. My doctor admitted it after 80 % of my hair fell out a few yrs ago when I got sick! You can nip it in the bud now!!!

Best to you! dana

I've got the same problem. For the past month my hair has been falling out like crazy. Is it the diet? I've been on it only since July and am taking no meds except low dose (6 mg) prednisone, which has never given me this problem. I lost hair when taking Asacol in the past but I no longer take that. Anyone else think it's because of the missing items in this diet?

Some causes for hair loss ;

*Medications like Prednisone and anti-inflammatory including Remicade

*Auto-immune disease

*Hormonal issues

*Anemia

*Thyroid Problems

I changed my whole hair regiment too..

Since being on the diet anemia has gotten better although still

ridiculously Iron deficient. When I addressed the Thyroid issues the

hair stopped falling out but it still is very tired, hay like and limpy.

I switched to a natural shampoo made out of seaweeds and mud. I use a

special hair oil every night.

I only wash my hair every couple of days and when I get out of shower

I use a large pick comb to comb wet hair.

When it dries I use a natural Boar bristle hair brush as it

redistributes the sebum and coats the follicle and hair.

This combo has really made a difference for me.

I have heard people supplementing with Biotin to help hair.

I started using Raw Fermented Cod Liver Oil a while ago and I feel it

is making a difference for my skin and hair.
