Guest guest
I have been suffering with IBS for about 4 years and have been doing SCD since June. I had a colonoscopy which was totally fine and finally my doctor did a SIBO test yesterday and I tested positive. I am now taking xifaxan for the next ten days and am worried about it killing all the good bacteria. Should I increase my yogurt consumption? Right now I take one acidophilus capsule daily and eat about a cup of yogurt. Is there anything else I should do in addition to this? Also, I specifically asked the nurse (doctor was not present) about diet and she seemed to indicate that most likely after the course of antibiotics I can return to a normal diet. ly I am scared to because I know how much SCD has helped in these past few months. Is it likely that the SIBO will return if I do not continue SCD?? Thanks for your help. Jacqui
