Guest guest
My 11 year old daughter has Crohn's. She has been on the SCD for about 3 months, I think. She tolerates everything that is considered legal on the SCD. She even drinks the almond milk, eats raw nuts, raw fruit, and nut butters. I suspect part of that is because she also takes Pentasa 1500mg a day. (non-steroidal anti inflammatory) for her Crohn's. If she didn't, we may experience difficulties. If she were to have an illegal, do you have to go back and start the intro diet all over? Or only if you have symptoms? (I have been toying with the idea of maybe letting her cheat just a tiny bit at our upcoming trip to Rainforest cafe with the in-laws this thursday. Shame on me, I know.) It's easy for me to consider this when I get the feeling that she could be eating illegals and not suffer any symptoms because of the Pentasa.
