Guest guest Posted December 15, 2008 Report Share Posted December 15, 2008 I think I remember reading something a while ago about how sulfasalazine inhibits bacterial overgrowth, which was why Elaine recommended being on sulfasalazine instead of the newer models of delivering the sulfa drugs. So does that mean you should wait between taking your sulfasalazine based drug and acidophilus. Seems like a no-brainer, but I just made the connection recently that it might be a problem and wanted to make sure about it.
