HC Reduction

Hi everyone.

Need some advice please. I think HC is causing me problems. I have weaned down

to 10mg slowly and some things have improved. I noticed after each dose I am

getting debilitating flu symptoms. I once thought it was the T3 but it dosen't

appear to be that. I have done an experiment on a couple of occasions by not

taking any HC and felt better. I did this again today and have not had any flu

symptoms at all.

Would I be safe enough to stop the hc. I know it's not a good idea but I feel

as sick as a dog when I take it. I take 10mg split in 4 doses.

I also lost 4kg since decreasing.

Thanks Margo

At the 10mg level you can be causing more problems than you are

cureing by reducing the body's own production while not adding enough

extra to make up for it.

If you feel better without it then try it for a few days while

graphing temperatures and see if they stay stable

Thanks for that. I was on 25mg and reduced slowly and things got a little

better especially the weight. Day 2 on no HC so far still no flu symptoms and I

no more tired than the usual.

What side effects are there from just stopping HC?

Thanks Margo

The effects of low cortisol, unstable and low temperature and aching

This is my 5th day no HC still not flu symptoms but as expected I am noticing

when standing I get a little dizzy and some slight air hunger. Should I just

ride it out or reintroduce some HC for awhile, if so how much.

Thanks in advance

Val- I weaned slowly from 25mg to 10mg. Lost quite a bit of weight in the

process. I had terrible flu symptoms so for a day I stopped the HC as an

experiment and no flu symptoms same on day two and have not had any hc or those

symptoms since. Today will be day 6.

Thanks Margo

Wel flu sym0ptoms are lwo cortils symp0tms and your adnreals are LIKELY

to crash the first stress oyu come across as you are running on the

reserves you built before and it does nto sound to me liek you are ready

to come off it entirely. I would go bakc on at least 10mg or oyu could

try Isocort at this point .

Oh boy seems like no matter which way I go I am in trouble. I tried 2.5mg and

got bad flu symptoms, seems odd when I don't take it I have none. Even up on

25mg I felt awful and blew up.

Thanks Margo
