Guest guest
I have been taking HC 12.5 10 7.5 5. My fingers are tight, I've gained weight especially in tummy, and cannot lose weight despite eating perfectly. I was on Armour, got Dxd with Reverse T3 in July and am on 10 cytomel 4 times a day. I'd like to wean off HC, doc never tested saliva, so not sure i ever really needed it. I have very low ferritin - just had hysterectomy so hopefully no more heavy periods. I take blubonnet chelated iron and once in a while get IV of iron. I will be getting it tested this week. Is it okay to increase t3 while slowly decreasing HC? 40 of Cytomel does not seem like a lot. My main symptom is still freezing at times (will start charting temps-no battery in thermometer today). Sometimesa little tired but nothing like before - Is this low ferriting or thyroid or adrenals? Last time my labs looked too high free T3, just read to not take morning dose - doc got a little nervous with high T3.
Guest guest
thanks Nick, yes my FT4 was very low. I will not take the T3 this time, and will stick with the 40 of T3. I will get thermometer today. I would also like to do saliva test on my own - need to save up for that one. Is extreme coldness due to adrenals or thyroid? >Is it okay to increase t3 while slowly decreasing HC? 40 of Cytomel does not seem like a lot. Sometimesa little tired but nothing like before - Is this low ferriting or thyroid or adrenals? There is a problem with changing 2 things at the same time and that isnot knowing what's causing what.I would avoid changing HC and T3 the same day, if you are changingboth then leave a few days between changing one and changing theother.> >Last time my labs looked too high free T3, just read to not take morning dose - doc got a little nervous with high T3.Taking the T3 the morning of the lab will produce a big spike in thelabs which will confuse things a lot.Get your new battery and then start charting the daily averages for afew days, You can drop HC until they become unstable but are best offonly changing by 2.5 every week and then staying a week on the newdose. If you did something like reduce HC on a Sunday and then increase T3the following Thursday each week that would give you a chance to seethe trends.Did you get a FT4 when you got the last labs? One indicator of enoughT3 to lower RT3 is getting the FT4 well below range.Hopefully some temperatures and pulse will let you get yourselfoptimisedNick-- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid- rt3.com
Guest guest
Cold can be form thyroid or adrenals as low cortils causes the thyroid ot not be able to get to the cells. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
