Guest guest Posted December 18, 2008 Report Share Posted December 18, 2008 Hey everyone, Is anyone here on Humira or was anyone on Humira while on the SCD? My daughter Kayla has been on the diet for about a week and a half now. She is getting Humira injections every week and is on 40 mg. of Prednisone. We did the intro diet and now stage one. She seems to be doing okay, but still loose stools and some blood. She is going maybe 2-3 times per day. Because she is still on those meds, and the SCD should she still be having blood and mild cramping? Anyone else have this experience? There are a number of people on medication and on SCD and many find success with either both or just SCD. I believe it's impossible to tell beforehand whether a diet or a medication will help because everyone responds differently. I took Humira and had a good response for about two months and then I was back to where I started. Others have unbelievable success. Wish I could be more helpful. Phyllis , CD .. When I was tapered off all other drugs I got back to full blown flare. I applied for aid with Abbott and received it free, delivered to my house - approved within a week. No tax returns required. If you don't have good insurance, apply. I sure am glad I didn't pay the big bucks for it- I would have felt VERY ripped off!! Terri 2 years UC Re: Humira I agree but are they also on SCD??
