Guest guest
Jodi, I would saute the onion, garlic, and parsley in a little oil. Remove the veggies to a plate, and then brown the chicken parts in the flavored oil a few at a time, setting aside with the veggies as they are done. Return all the parts and the veggies to the pot, reduce heat to medium and cover, cooking for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken parts release their juices. Uncover, add the broth, raise heat to bring to a simmer, recover, and then simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until the chicken is as tender as you want it to be. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund At 11:11 AM 12/5/2008, you wrote: I have pre-made bone broth from the freezer. I would like to make a batch of chicken soup today with this broth. If I add chicken parts that are frozen to the soup, will it taste horrible? If not how long should I cook this? I plan on adding extra garlic, onion, parsley (first doing a light saute on the onion) Thanks.. Jodi SCD 14 months Crohn's/Colitis
