are there ANY tomato sauces/ pastes or canned diced tomatoes out there that are not illegal?? I am a working mother of 3 and it would be SO much more convenient if I could use one. It seems like the sauces say "natural flavorings" what IS that anyhow!!!

Hi Mara. This is the recipe I used to use for making seasoned salt at home. I have yet to determine whether I can buy SCD-legal garlic powder or SCD-legal onion powder in Toronto, and I haven't tried dehydrating the bulbs to make my own. Therefore, I haven't made any seasoned salt since starting on SCD 9 months ago.* Exported from MasterCook *Seasoned SaltRecipe By : Adapted from Epstein and Klein, Substituting IngredientsServing Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00Categories : SeasoningsAmount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method-------- ------------ --------------------------------1/2 cup salt1 teaspoon paprika1 teaspoon dry mustard3/4 teaspoon dried oregano1 teaspoon garlic powder1/2 teaspoon onion powderCombine all ingredients. Shake well before using.Note: The book contains two recipes for seasoned salt on page 84. The firstrecipe uses one cup salt and various amounts of paprika, dry mustard, oregano, garlic powder and onion powder. The second recipe uses 1/2 cup saltand different quantities of everything but oregano.I have used the quantities from the second recipe but added half the oreganoof the first recipe for some extra flavour.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -NOTES : Formatted in MC 4 by <enginuity4rogers> 2003-January-24.Commercial seasoned salt or seasoning salt contains some ingredients towhich I am allergic, so I use this recipe when I need seasoned salt.Regards, Ellen in Toronto<enginuity4rogers>"Mara Schiffren" wrote Sunday, December 14, 2008 6:46 PM:> >>>> I get a daily email from AllRecipes.com and this was in today's email.>> Has anyone ever tried this?>>>> http://tinyurl.com/5ed2zr>> Thanks for the recipe.>> Does anyone know what is in seasoned salt?>> It would be fun to try a sea salt and vinegar> version of this (my favorite kind of potato> chip.)>> Mara Send e-mail anywhere.
