I bought some Hazelnut extract I had to return the other day - surprisingly from frontier - it had agave nectar in it. OTOH, frontier almond extract is legal. (which is why I assumed that the hazelnut would be, too.) > > Are walnuts legal? yes. > I'm sure they are, but is there anything I should know about them > before trying them? raw, untreated, etc. > > Finally, how about dried apricots? Are they legal? Never the orange ones - only the brown ones - which show they don't have stabilizers or chemicals on them - or something like that. With the caveat better to make your own, etc. etc. <g> How is law school? Have you done your first term final exams yet? Mara
Guest guest
I've never seen brown apricots, only orange ones. And they are usually only out and certain times and they say kosher on them when I see them (not counting pre-packaged from a large company). So those are illegal? Thanks, Debbie

Yeah, the fact that they retai their color means they've been treated in some way. The brown ones are available at Health food stores and usually, IME, unpackaged.
