Has anyone here had any experience with taking Sulfasalazine? I tried taking it for 6 weeks but the more I took the worse the headaches and constipation got. On my docs advice I went off it, now that the headaches and constipation are gone I'm supposed to go back on it but at half the dose. I'm really not into going back on it so wanted to hear any experiences people here have had with it.Thnaks In Advance!__________________________________________________

I was put on Sulfasalazine when I was diagnosed in the fall of '01, and was on it until last spring when I lost my insurance. I had absolutely no problems with it. I got health insurance back late summer, so I could have gone back on it. but my rhuemy was very happy with my progress with just being on methotrexate. so that is where I am. Hope that helps.

I took Asulfadine (sp?) for my Ulcerative Colitis years ago but

had to switch drugs because it made me really nauseous.

Thanks for the replies everyone! For now I'm going to see how I do

without it. I'd rather have sore joints then headaches anyday...lol.
