Guest guest
Any suggestions for supportive footwear for the beach? I need a lot of arch support, so flip flops are out. I was quite unstylish (and uncomfortable) in my soggy high top sneakers on my recent vacation. Sierra
Guest guest
Check out Birkenstocks. They have about 200 different styles of shoes, boots, sandals, etc. and they aren't all leather. Some are made for water and they all have good arch support. Do a search for Birkenstock sandals. I think the discount place is sandals-4-you. ----- Original Message ----- From: snowdrift52003 Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Wednesday, March 02, 2005 8:22 PM Subject: Beach shoes? Guest guest
Sierra, I can relate - I have to wear supportive shoes and orthodics at all times. I haven't worn sandals or flip flops in 14 years. Since we have a small boat and kayaks I've had this problem for many years! I found some shoes last year from Land's End that they call 'Sea to Shore Sport Shoes'. They look like mesh sneakers, and I can put an old pair of orthodics in them. Go to landsend.com, click on women's and then on shoes and you'll find them. They are real light weight and reasonably priced. Beth > > Any suggestions for supportive footwear for the beach? I need a lot > of arch support, so flip flops are out. Guest guest
Thank you! These look good. I have two pairs of Birkenstocks, but they're leather, and WIDE. I prefer something snug with ankle support, if I can get it.(And, like you, I wear orthotics, so they must fit.) There's a Land's End store near me--I'll go try on a pair of the Sea to Sport before summer comes. Here's to happy feet! Guest guest
So do I, only I wear them year around. They have great shoes and boots, too. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marcia Stoyle Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, March 03, 2005 7:39 AM Subject: Re: Beach shoes? Birkenstocks!
