okay you two, I decided you're weird. I went to cooking.com and the only sale items (out of 422) I would even consider buying are the kiwi or watermelon platters. everything else seemed overpriced or unnecessary. There is only so much room in a kitchen! Maybe the crepe maker space can be justified though!

Hey, I still don't have a stand mixer or a food processor!

I maintain that when I win the lottery (which presupposes that I've

bought a ticket), I want to build a library, and a kitchen, with some

living space attached.

Given that our library is currently around 12,000 books, does that tell

you what kind of kitchen I want?

Yeah, and my 35 year old cook top died the death Monday night, so

we've purchased a new one, which won't be installed for another two

weeks. So I'm cooking on a banquet burner....

All I can say is, thank goodness it didn't blow up DURING the Christmas

For sure! That would've been tragic.

I wish my oven would give up the ghost so I would have a good excuse to get a new one. I have one burner that doesn't work, one that works well and the other two are too small for most things. I hate that we have no gas lines in our house though and I want to install a propane tank before I get a new stove so that I can get a gas one. I hate cooking on electric stoves! It's always something......

I'd love a gas cook top, also.... but it would cost a fortune to run the

gas lines. My kitchen was built in the mid 60s when " total electric

kitchens " were the " in " thing. Maybe if we get to build a

retirement house in a few years....

We live out in the boonies and there aren't any gas lines run out here. We're not in a city, it is an unincorporated area and the only way to have gas is to get a propane tank. Fortunately, my dad is a pipe fitter and can run the lines for me, I just have to get the tank and materials. It's still expensive though so it is and will remain on my "some day......." list :-(Kim
