How do I make home made ginger

powder?

Get the ginger root. remove the bark from part of it. Run a microplane

over it multiple times until you have a bit more fine grains than you

need. Lay them between two sheets of parchment and place in a warm dry

place for a few hours. It should dry in that time, or if not then, over

night. If you need a finer powder, crush with a mortar and pestle, or in

a blender.

Hey Marilyn,

How long do you think ginger powder like this can last in my cabinet?

I know this is always an iffy place to go to especially with me it's

just I am really clueless about knowing when many things go bad. My

whole life I rely on my sense of smell and if my stomach turns.

Really would like to learn new tools about this.

BTW- that book " The Gentle Art of Verbal Self Defense " is life

altering for me. Thanks for that suggestion..

My brother read it years ago and talked about it.

So many things that I wish I would of caught sooner and implemented.
