Guest guest
RE: From Toronto I saw Dr. Sved yesterday for second time and he had the reports from my Pelvic , Transvaginal and Sonohysterogram done on september. these are the findings: the uterus is anteverted and myomatous measuring 5.9 x 5.7cm at the fundus. atleast two fibriods are seen as anterior impinging upon the endometrium measuring 4.2 x 4.0 x 3.7 cm and posterior 1..5 x 1.3 x 1.4 cm. the double layer thickness of the endometrium is 0.5cm and is hyperechoic to myometrium and distortion is seen due to a large fibriod. report also says : very large myoma pressing into the cavity from the rigth. ( somtimes i have very sharp pain in the lower right side ) Dr. said regarding to the large size and location of the fibriod i'm not able to have vaginal mayo and if i want to remove it i should take 3 shuts of Lupron to shrink them first and have abdominal mayo after that OR i can try another BC Triphasil 28 ( i've already tried Aleese and Marvelon - no help ) for atleast 3 months, if it helps and reduces the symptoms i can go to 6 months and have another ultrasound to follow up later. he asked me to think about it,talk to my hubby and decide. is a 4.2 x 4.0 x 3.7 cm very large size? i know we have ladies with fibriods much larger than 4 - 5 cm. now i'm thinking what's the point to try another BC for few months , even if this one can help me to have less bleeding /clots and less cramps/pain how long i can go with that , it migth be a temprary relief but not a solution !! i really want to get rid of the fibriods as soon as i can and have a normal life again , it's more than one year that i was diagnosed and having problem atleast 7 days each month and now confused to what to do , wait for 6 more months and try Triphasil or start taking lupron and be ready for mayo after 3 months?? someone please help me to decide.
