Guest guest Posted December 17, 2008 Report Share Posted December 17, 2008 Hi guys - rounding the curve at 4.5 months on SCD - no 3 month flare, but today is not so good. Last week (at my place of work no less which is a restaurant), I ordered Salmon and told them they could put butter on it. There was brown sugar in the butter and I did not realize till I had eat 1/2. Stool started to soften. I then bought monterey jack cheese in brick form and my system did not like that - diarrhea off and on now since this incident for five days...I also started to get stomach pains, especially when I eat. I went out for a holiday dinner and had red meat and well cooked veggies. That night I had foul smelling diarrhea and increased urgency and more frequency. Yesterday there a trace of mucus in one of the six BMs and the stool fluctuated between diarrhea and soft stool. Today there is blood - while not a ton, it is there and still with the stomach pains. I am not on any meds. I take the Freeda multivitamins and B complex and a pro biotic. It is my intention to avoid meds at this time and drop down to stage 1 foods again. I feel like I have severe anxiety around anything related to a flare. I really have to watch the emotional joy ride I can go off on regarding the " what if things get really bad and I am in the hospital... " scenarios. I am looking for encouragement and support during this period of uncertainty as I attempt to ride this out.
