I for one would love this !  I'd REALLY find it helpful to have something that lists substitutions e.g. if don't want to eat eggs, daily, what else can you bake with & what quantities ? ... meaning - if pancakes call for 3 eggs & I want to use gelatin instead how much gelatin equals 3 eggs ?  etc ....Thanks so much,Hey guys. I have a pretty strong background in cooking (good thing Idid not specialize in pastries :) and I also have close ties with avariety of chefs in the area. I have been leaning on them to help mecome up with ideas for food variety that comply with SCD. We havecome up with many recipes that are SCD compliant that are not in theother SCD cook books. I have observed many on various forums lookingfor variety and quick fix options and one meal wonders. I believe Ihave this resource and am strongly considering the development ofanother cookbook resource for SCD. I believe I can do this because Ihave chefs who have produced cookbooks on their own who are willing tohelp. I figure it would be yet another added resource for recipes.Given this is my idea, I am looking for feedback on 1) do you thinkanother cookbook would be of value 2)recipes that you would like tosee 3)I will eventually need to multi test the recipes as well so whenI get to that stage, if anyone might be interested in being a test orof a recipe and offering feedback to make sure SCD compliant and easyto follow let me know.AiazeenSCD 4 monthsUC 5 1/2 yearsmed free Peace and blessings, Resca, M.S.http:// www.heartofyourillness.comMaking choices that fully support who you are when you have a serious illnesslinda@...

Aiazeen, Another cookbook would always be welcome. I've been searching for a honey only recipe for Sardianian Torrone. (aka nougat) It's made with egg whites, honey and nuts. I prefer the pistacio, but can be made with almonds too. Also a good BBQ recipe would be great. Other ethnic foods would be good too, Indian, Chinese and Arabic. My diet is way too bland and would love some nice spicy or fragrant dishes. Good luck with that book. I'll be waiting for it.

I would like to see other recipe ideas besides using coconut butter and nut flours, nut butters for treats as well as meals

Barbecue sauce, peanut sauce, dipping sauces, cooked bbq like pork,

more drink options (non-alcohol) meaning more faux pop, 'coke' or tea

options, asian food, mexican food or tex-mex would be great too :-).

<sigh> I have most of that in my files... just have to get some of

them kitchen tested and the rest organized and printed!

BTW, try adding some double vanilla extract to legal soda water -- makes

a good " creme soda " . Likewise with different legal

extracts for lemon or lemon-lime, and so forth.

I'd LOVE to find mexican-style recipes such as tortilla chips,

tortilla style wraps for burritos/quesadillas etc. For me, I think

that's what I miss the most!

I'm having tacos al carbon with guacamole tomorrow, on tortillas made

from pecan souffle bread.

I'm always interested in more yummy recipes! Although I've only been

on the diet for a week and a half, I'd still be interested in testing

and offering feedback.

I'm afraid I have quite a sweet tooth, and am interested in more legal

candy. My grandma makes the most delicious sweets (mints, cherry mash,

etc.), and I wish I could make something reasonably close to them.

And of course easy recipes (few ingredients and easy to make) are

always nice to have.

One thing I'd love to be able to do once i've got a bit more variety

in my diet is to have a chinese takeaway experience with prawn

crackers, sesame prawn toasts, crispy pork balls, egg foo yung, lemon

chicken etc, etc. (I think there are recipes already out there for

the simpler dishes - don't know if some of these are even possible or

just pipe dreams!). I'd be happy to help with feedback and trial

runs. I've been hovering around the intro diet for the majority of

the 7 months I have been on the diet but am just now starting to be

able to introduce new foods so maybe in a couple of months i'll be

ready to take part.

All the best,

Mike
