If your not taking Pred you may want to take NSAID's. I have not been able to get below 20 mg of Pred daily without having a major flare. Don't take Pred with NSAID's as it can cause gastrointestinal bleeding. Are you taking the MTX orally? If so you may want to got to injection. I did and it really makes a difference, no more yuckies for two days or sore mouth for me. The MTX is neccesary to prevent joint damage.
