Another Kayla Update!

Hi Ellen and everyone,

Well Kayla did have the blood transfusion on Friday. She went to the

dr. after that and her dr. wants her to start Asacol also. So now she

is on Humira every week, 35 mg. of Prednisone and Asacol 3x per day.

I feel we have been very strict but she is still bleeding! One thing

she did have for a couple of days was the spaghetti squash which I

think might have been too early to try. Basically she is having only

the soup (chicken with carrots), hamburger meat, cheddar cheese,

homemade yogurt, ripe bananas, cooked and peeled apples and pears,

eggs, turkey, honey, cinnamon for seasoning, oh and the dry curd

cottage cheese. Am I doing something wrong?? Shouldn't the bleeding

be stopping? Between the diet and the meds she is on, this is

worrying me that she still has the blood and the diarreah and it has

been almost 3 weeks. She gets some gas pains too. She started

running a low grade fever yesterday also, but today it was gone.
