Guest guest
Some time back, I asked the group if they could say a prayer for a good friend of mine who was preparing to go thru with a bone marrow transplant for his non-Hodgkins's lymphoma. I would like to especially thank Judy Wiebe for sending me a very nice prayer, which I passed on to Terry. I would also like to say it must have worked! Terry came through the bone marrow transplant fine (had to break a fever with a tough combination of steroids and antibiotics - they call it " shake and bake " time - they put about 7 heated blankets on him - give him this stuff and then he just flails around like crazy for a while. Sounds pleasant, huh? Did the trick though - broke his fever.) I am happy to say that he was out playing golf yesterday! All signs of the cancer are now gone from his lymph nodes - docs don't know how long it will stay away - could be 2 years - could be 20. Terry's amazingly positive attitude was his greatest asset in his fight against this stuff. That and your prayers obviously did the trick! Now they have to completely rebuild his immune system which was totally wiped out. He has to go through all his childhood immunizations again - wild stuff, huh? Once again, thank you - I know Terry appreciates greatly your prayers and I thank you as his friend.
