Guest guest
I think I have just got Mandolin sussed. Not totally proven maybe, but I'm 99% I'm right, and I'm quite proud of my deductive work. As a poker player I'd bet the farm on it. I must say that I have striven to *not* refer to Mandolin as Mandy, tempting though it was. The odd time I did do though, must have cut deep. - such name calling is indeeed facile and pointless. I have cracked the Mandolin mystery. Mandolin is a SCIENTOLOGIST. This was the ideological change I referred to that made him say " I am married to one woman " . The important point is not so much *one* but *woman*. I remember thinking that that, combined with his blanket decrying of drugs, there had probably been some radical change, perhaps a conversion to Xtianity. But he didnt sound like a Xtian. He did however refer to a spirit that existed before birth and vaguely refer to religions with this view. I also remembered the Scientology is of course totally anti-psychiatry. Scientology believes in a spirit that existed before birth. All it needed was for Scientology to be homophobic and that would add the final ingredient - Mandolin was a drug using gay who believes he was cured of drug taking and homosexuality thorugh Scientology, and now lives a drug free married life. In took about a 10s web search and straight away it popped up - Scientology views homosexuality as a form of insanity. All it took was a few vague references to homosexuality myself, combined with Mandolin's narcissistic faith that absolute everybody is the same as himself, to conclude that my own problems were also caused by guilt over homosexuality and I could respond to the same Scientological approach. As I trashed Scientology as well, no wonder he got so pissed. In the unlikely event he belongs to freedomofmind as welll, he will have seen me attack Scientoliogy's drug initiative there as well. Move over M. Poireau....
