Guest guest
Hi Ya'll.. Was wondering if you could give me your opinions. I know you're not doctors and such- so I fully understand and acknowledge this. I am asking you guys as fellow IBD'ers. I had a bad intramuscular B12 shot in my right buttock. It seems to of caused a deep hematoma with inflammation putting pressure on a nerve making me loose some sensation in my foot. It has gotten better but it has seemed to have caused a domino effect flaring my whole underlying sacroiliac issues I had years ago (I had 2 very bad bouts of this) each bout I was given Vioxx and a shot of Toradol. We all know where Vioxx has ended up- and frankly I was so sick back then that I am sure these things affected my Crohn's. With that said Vioxx was the only thing I could tolerate when the more arthirtic symptoms flared (I have had many bouts where I couldn't walk or move at all) All other NSAID's are a big no no for me. Celebrex is horrible for me and the list goes on and on. Now, I am in a deep discomfort. The discomfort is on-going with few sharp bouts of pain. It was hard for me to sleep last night. If I lay down or walk I am better.. Sitting makes it flare. It seems to be ok one day and the next it isn't. My doctor offered me to get a shot of Toradol. Obviously this would also have to be done intramuscular in my left buttock. I am concerned it will derail all of this progress I have had with the Crohn's. I am taking fish oil and I am doing topical Arnica and Topricin which is really helping. But it would be nice if the Toradol did what it did for me in the past and GREATLY reduced the discomfort and pain sometimes even totally taking it away. Should I get the shot or not? Obviously, this is my decision but it would help if I got some perspective. You can email me offlist if that's better jodah235@... Thanks!
