Guest guest
Eileen I'm not Marilyn, but thought I'd give you my experience on diluting juices. I have to dilute fruit juices significantly, even after 5 years on SCD, and I can't handle too much in one day either. I dilute by at least 400% to 500%. I also have to strain the juices through a fine mesh; can't handle too much fiber. I periodically try diluting by a bit less, but my upper GI reacts within 10 minutes or less. Looks like I am always going to have to dilute my juices. Oh, and my body refuses to tolerate vegetable juices, no matter how diluted I make them. Just one of the side-effects of having upper GI functional disorders. So, you may need to do a trial occasionally once you feel your symptoms are improving, try diluting a bit less, see how your body handles the juices. Hopefully you will be more successful than I have been. Kim M. Guest guest
i should have thought to ask you kim - thanks -i seem more connected to you symptom wise and that may be why i had such a crummy day comparably after having introduced carrot/celery/apple juice !! eileen will only dilute for a long while when i try again - do you know if mold inhibitors in cheese are ok or packaged slices for that matter??? thanks happy new year!!! 11 1/2 months scd > > Eileen > > I'm not Marilyn, but thought I'd give you my experience on diluting juices. > > I have to dilute fruit juices significantly, even after 5 years on SCD, and I can't handle too much in one day either.
