Guest guest
>T3 Reverse 27 >FT3 318 318 / 27 = 11.7. This should be more than 20 >FT4 1.0 Ft3 is not at the top of the range and FT4 is low as well. You are under medicated and may benefit from more Armour though it may increase the RT3 as well You are on the bottom of the " normal dose range " 3 to 5 grains is typical with some over and some under. This should ideally be spread in 2 or 3 doses. Ferritin is a bit low but not too bad If you want to take the sure way of getting the RT3 down then T3 only is the most reliable. This site gives an overview of it all, have a read and feel free to ask questions www.thyroid-rt3.com Have you had any adrenal tests?? Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, Nick. I saw the site that you linked the other day on another forum and checked it out. I guess I just have questions on how to stop armour and go the straight t3. I know I would take equal to what I am getting in my current armour dose.........@... mcg, I have 5mcg pills (makes it real easy), but have heard that I am supposed to only do that amount for a couple of days and then 'start ramping up the dosage' - this is what I don't understand. To what dose and why? What symptoms should I be looking for and for how long am I supposed to keep a higher dose? Or should I up my armour? But that doesn't make sense except to build my low t4, but if I am pooling, why bother to keep feeding it. I have done adrenal tests, I've trialed the hc route too (didn't work for me), but haven't rechecked them in a year or so. And actually don't have many adrenal issue symptoms these days. I actually feel like if I could get my hormones (thyroid alone even maybe) I would function just fine, but............. I do dose 3x per day armour currently. With cytomel I would switch that to 4 x per day, correct? Every 4-5 hours? > > >T3 Reverse 27 > >FT3 318 > > 318 / 27 = 11.7. Guest guest
>I do dose 3x per day armour currently. With cytomel I would switch that to 4 x per day, correct? Every 4-5 hours? I prefer 5 or 6 times a day, it makes for a smoother ride and is kinder on the adrenals. The basic idea is to stop the Armour dead and the next day take the same amount of T3 that was in the armour (9mcg per grain). T4 levels reduce very slowly in the body, that's why they retest people every 6 weeks when dose changing. T3 takes 3 days to stabilise. Once you stop supplementing T4 the level in your body will slowly sink and you will get less T3 from conversion and hence will need a T3 dose increase every 3 to 7 days to keep you " non-hypo " . If you go at the typical speed you will be on 75 a day after 6 to 8 weeks. There is a lot on dosing on this link and there are links from it on deciding if you are ready for an increase http://thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Feel free to ask questions Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
