Guest guest
What were your symptoms?Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryDate: Thu, 28 Jan 2010 17:41:35 -0800 (PST)To: <RT3_T3 >Subject: Re: Good news on the ferritin front Renin is a kidney enzyme that works with aldosterone to help regulate sodium and potassium. Your renin probably isn't low since it corresponds with potassium. It's important to not have any sodium 24 hours prior to the test and no food morning of or it will make the aldosterone low. I don't know that I would re-test but it's up to you though. If florinef helps, that's your answer. It sounds like the adrenal rebuilder is helping, hopefully enough and florinef isn't needed. Maybe just extra sea salt will help your symptoms. I am almost to the top of range in potassium and about 138 in sodium. Would taking florinef put me over the top? I have aldosterone of 2.Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryFrom: "low_carb_crystal" <low_carb_crystal@ yahoo.com>Date: Thu, 28 Jan 2010 22:54:58 -0000To: <RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) com>Subject: Good news on the ferritin front I've had a horrible time with ferritin. I even had an IV which brought my levels right up but then dropped to 54. I just tested and my ferritin went from 54 to 96 in 2 months with 200mg of ferretts brand iron..Also, my sodium is 138 and potassium is 4.0. I am on 120 meq of k-dur and 1 tab of florinef. I thought I was getting too much florinef, guess not. I took my florinef the morning of the test but not salt, food, or potassium. It looks like florinef helped raise my potassium from bottom of range but sodium has not gone up.
Guest guest
After starting HC, I was dizzy, lightheaded, low blood pressure, blacked out every time I stood up, sweaty, and very fatigued. I didn't know it was low sodium and weaned HC, big mistake. Symptoms may not be that obvious. Fatigue, heat intolerant, higher pulse or extra urinating may be the only clues. Always try sea salt first, such as celtic sea salt--1/4-1/2 tsp twice per day or whatever helps. Guest guest
I thought urinating a lot was an expected symptom. I am going - on my, am I going a lot. If that's telling me something, I gotta listen! I am taking about a 1/2 tsp. of sea salt in the morning, and my most recent sodium labs were fine - ever more toward the high end of the range than the low. But, I know symptoms tell the real story. Thanks much! > > From: rlconnellyizoom (DOT) net <rlconnellyizoom (DOT) net> > Subject: Re: Good news on the ferritin front > To: RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) .com > Date: Thursday, January 28, 2010, 4:10 PM > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Does florinef raise potassium?
