Guest guest
While I am taking iron and waiting for T3 to get here (which is another 18* days)...over the past month I am gradually blowing up with fluid. My legs/feet and hands are very swollen and are starting to burn. My morning temps went from 98.2 to 97.8. Of course I'm really tired. Nothing new there, I'm always tired. I am taking sea salt water. I am on 25mg of HC, 3/4 grains of NT and the following: A, 10,000 IU D 15,000 IU per the doc B complex 2x a day Chromium 4x a day for hypoglycemic issues milk thistle 3x iron glycinate 25mg once a day zinc 100mg E-400 IU Cod oil Primrose oil molybdenum 100mcg C,Magnesium and calcium. Anyway....I seem to be getting worse since going on iron, but I'm tolerating it because it's a necessary, three weeks on it now, and I am getting depressed, it also gives me heartburn...metal tasting heart burn. The fluid retention is getting worse now I am noticing itching/burning. My last labs were low thyroid and she told me to raise my NatureThroid but I haven't gone any farther than adding 1/4 grain. Seemed pointless to add something that was going to make more reverse T3. She's contemplating the T3 only thing. Meanwhile I'm getting sicker and quite angry that her treatment plan has caused me to worse off than where I started. Anything at all I can do in the interim here to help get me through until I can do the t3? When I was on 1 3/4 grains of Nt a few months ago I was not full of all this fluid. But I'm not sure it's a good idea to try to go back up again. I know...probably isn't anything I can do but...I thought I'd ask how others managed this if they went through it. For me the most problematic is the swelling. I did not have this on the higher NT dose. In fact I haven't had this much swelling since I was pregnant!
