Guest guest
On Nick's site it says that Vitamin C can be taken with iron but other things should be separated. Does this mean I shouldn't take it with any supplements or my green drink? I should take it with food, right? Are there any sublingual iron supplements out there? T3 can be taken sublingually though and taking it with iron that way is not an issue > >Are there any sublingual iron supplements out there? Guest guest
My Vitamin C has 110 mg calcium in it. I take 2-4 of those daily. However, do you think 110 mgs of calcium interacts with T3? >On Nick's site it says that Vitamin C can be taken with iron but other things should be separated. Guest guest
I htink it is possible but it seems T3 is less afected by things taken wiht it than T4 is, so use wiht caution and maybe doses taken near calcium hsoudl be done sublingulaly just in case. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

I don't know. If you take the C at the same time as the iron it will help the iron. The iron might block the calcium a bit but as far as I know you are not lacking in that. There is the philosophy that says a lack of absorbtion of some of the T3 does not matter as long as you take more to compensate and hence just doing things at the same time each day allows you to cancel it out. Guest guest
Sorry Nick, I wasn't referring to T3 at all. I was referring just to iron supplements and what they can and can't be taken with. I am not on T3 as my RT3 ratio looked ok. I am on Thyroid-S and HC and I will be starting an iron supplement today since my ferritin is 18. I will plan to post on the NTH/NTHA boards in the future (instead of here) now that I know I don't have RT3 but that question was in regard to your site since that is where I got the info from. To bump up my original question: can I take iron with supplements and food? Amy > > >On Nick's site it says that Vitamin C can be taken with iron but other things should be separated.
