Guest guest
I posted about year ago with my results, since then I have added 15mg of Cortef (not sure if this is enough been on this for over a year), and switched to Nature-throid up to 6 Grains. Feel like I have more consistent symptoms on NT. But I am still debilitated; I can even walk a 1/8 of a mile without going down for the next few days, chronic pain, hair falling out, incontinence and more. Now I am waiting for my lab work on RT3, Free T3 and T4, and Ferritin I thought it would be in by now, and I have to talk to my Doctor on Tues. I need more Cortef so I can't postpone it. I think I should try straight T3, this is what I want to tell my doctor, but he thought I should try some Progesterone as the next step. I really don't that is my fix. My thyoid was removed in 1999. Below are my labs from last year, I have to pay out of pocket so between having a child, my income level and my body it has been slow going. Any thoughts?? ********************************************************************** Taking 51/2 Grains of Armour NO CORTEF (Was breastfeeding maybe why my sex hormones are low) Saliva Test on sex hormones and cortisol Estradiol Out of range 1.1 Low (1.3-3.3) Progesterone Out of range 64 Low (75-270) Ratio: Pg/E2 Out of range 58 Low (Optimal 100-500) Testosterone Out of range 5 Low (16-55) DHEAS 6.7 (2-23) Cortisol Morning 4.1 (3.7-9.5) Noon Out of range 4.4 High (1.2-3.0) Even. 1.1 (0.6-1.9) Night 0.4 (0.4-1.0) Free T's Blood Spot Free T4 2.2 (0.7-2.5) Free T3 3.3 (2.5-6.5) TSH 0.3 Low (.05-3.0) TPO 36 (0-150 --(70-150 borderline)) Vitamin D, 25-OH, D2 12 (<5 if not supplementing) Vitamin D, 25-OH, D3 9 Low (32-100) Vitamin D, 25-OH, Total 21 Low (32-100)
