Are you taking any anti-inflammatories along with the Zithromax? When I

started taking minocycline last January I also needed prednisone and Vioxx

to control inflammation. I was able to get off the prednisone by May and

reduce the Vioxx, now I am pretty much off the Vioxx all together. My

understanding is that the inflammation must be reduced for the antibiotics

to work properly. Once you start to get better you can reduce or eliminate

the NSAIDs as I have done.
