I have not found proof of this but have to use my own experience here

too. When I was 11 and started my menses they startyed and stayed VERY

heavy and painful. I was diagnosed anemic several times through my teen

years but my weight stayed good and energy VER high in spite of this. At

19 my thyroid crashed. I went form 98 pounds to 160 pounds in three

months. I was put on Armoru and Iron and in 6 months was back to my old

happy and energetic THIN self. For three years then that doc died and I

went through Endo hell. They put me on Syncrap and never treated my low

iron and at 27 I had ot have a complete Hyst., DO NOT FOLLOW IN MY

SHOES> Proper treatment of ferritin and htyroid could have saved my

female organs and prevented life long problems from that early recmoval.

It is known now that hypothyroid causes endometriosis. If your sister is

havign heavy periods PLEASE have a full thyroid blood labs done on her.

Including FT3 and FT4 NOT just TSH. You have no idea how much I wish

someone had done that for me, I might have been able to have children.
