Guest guest
I have two reasons, well three actually, for disliking iodine. First if oyu have Hashi's. It stimulates the htyroi dto produce homrones. ANYTHING that stimulates the thyroid also stimulates antibodies. Mine went from an undetectable level to over 600 form 6 weeks of 6 drops of Lugol's iodine a day. I also was choking on my thyroid which I have only done one other time in my life when I had a very bad Hashi attack with swollen thyroid. The next reason is when trying to get rid of RT3, we want as little T4 as possible in our boduies and when the thyroi dsees iodine in the blood it grabs it up and makes hormones, MOSTLY T4. And third, Iodine seems to cause adrenal stress, and can have unwanted effects and make thyroid labs skewed . -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Val, Thaks for the detailed reply. So,even I don't have an antibody issue, obviously with the weak adrenals and RT3 you still don't recomend using iodine.I just wanted to know why you disagree with the iodine. Thanks again. I don't know if people here on this bord, with RT3 have had any succes with iodine either but wanted to hear your opinion. I appreciated it Milena Milena > > I have two reasons, well three actually, for disliking iodine. First if > oyu have Hashi's. Guest guest
After eating a lot of seaweed salad while already being badly hypo I have developed a goiter that went away a week after stopping eating that stuff. Just something to think about:-)))I didn't know much about RT3 then but it was just an experience. Its good for prevention presumably(my father made us all take liquid iodine after 1986 after nuclear reactor blew up there and all)so maybe it works this way.Maybe somebody felt better after it! > > Val and Nick, > > After listening to Dr.Lowe's interview and his opinion about taking iodine I want to ask about your experience.I think,I have read that you Val are against taking iodine when we are with RT3 problem but don't know if have tried it and did not work,or what? Please, explain on what bases you don't think that taking iodine in our situation is not help full and why. Also,Nick if you have taken some and what was the result for you? > Thanks a lot > Milena >
Guest guest
I did get a goiter from Chernobyl, when blew up,the nuclear reactor.I thinkk it was 1986? Nobody has told us to get any protection,I was living close there at this time. I could not been having all of this problems right now. > > > > Val and Nick, > > > > After listening to Dr.Lowe's interview and his opinion about taking iodine I want to ask about your experience.I think,I have read that you Val are against taking iodine when we are with RT3 problem but don't know if have tried it and did not work,or what?
